The Mind Behind the Brand
I never set out to fit in.
I was the kid who didn’t click with the scene. Skateboarder. Outsider. The one who got told to tone it down, fall in line, be more like everyone else.
I didn’t.
I built my life—and career—by leading, by questioning, by creating what didn’t exist yet. And when I got back into the water and looked around at the wetsuit industry, I saw the same thing I’ve always seen: too much noise, not enough substance.
That’s where Volte changed direction.
Volte had strong foundations. Trusted in big waves. Incredibly well made. But I knew it could be more—more focused, more defiant, more deliberate.
I didn’t take over to slap a logo on things and blend in. I stepped in to sharpen the edges. To rebuild from purpose. To create something that serious surfers could count on without compromise.
I’m not backed by a surf conglomerate or trying to win the lifestyle game.
Volte is independent—and staying that way—because that’s how we keep the focus where it belongs: on performance, purpose, and doing things right—building with intent, not ego.
Because I know what it’s like to be let down by gear.
And I know how it feels when your equipment has your back.
I’m not a pro surfer. I don’t have a film crew.
But I know what matters when you're 45 minutes into a freezing session, trying to paddle back out, wind howling sideways.
You don’t need hype.
You need warmth. Fit. Confidence.
You need a suit that shows up with you—and doesn’t quit halfway through.
That’s why I’m here.
Not to be part of the industry.
To challenge it.
